Laurie A. Belew

Laurie A. Belew, MBA, MS, CFP® joined Fox, Joss & Yankee in August 2006 as an associate advisor. Prior to joining FJY, she worked for Amicus Financial Advisors, LLP and Pennington, Bass & Associates in Lubbock, Texas. Laurie is a member of the Financial Planning Association, where she is active in the NexGen community of interest. She served on the task force for the 2007 and 2009 NexGen conferences. She is also a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors.

Laurie earned her Master of Science degree in Personal Financial Planning, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas Tech University in May 2006. While in school, she was an officer of the Texas Tech Personal Financial Planning Association and a graduate assistant, specializing in retirement planning and estate planning. In 2001, Laurie graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Before entering the financial planning profession, Laurie worked as a management consultant. She began her career with the Arthur Andersen Business Consulting finance and operations team. Laurie then joined Lucidity Consulting Group in Plano, Texas to help start a new service offering, called Strategic Finance Solutions.

She lives in Leesburg, Virginia with her husband, Zack, their son, Braden, and their toy schnauzer, Chloe. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as traveling, snow skiing, and golfing. Laurie is a member of Christian Fellowship Church in Ashburn.
