Our Thoughts

Olympic Athletes Don’t Always Have Olympic Size Paychecks

When we think of the Winter Olympics, we tend to focus on marquee athletes like Shaun White or Lindsey Vonn who are conglomerates on to themselves. But for the vast majority of Olympic competitors, their athletic careers barely pay the bills. Many of them are forced to try and juggle part-time jobs with their already demanding training and travel schedules. So don’t be surprised if you see a hockey goalie behind the counter the next time you visit your local pharmacy or grab a pair of sneakers.
