We are always on the lookout for signs of identity theft for our clients. Yesterday I contacted each of our technology partners (client portal, custodians, etc.) to confirm that their systems have not been compromised by the “Heartbleed Bug”, and I am glad to report that none of the systems that we use to monitor and manage our client’s information are at risk.
Nonetheless, this article from Mashable has a good wrap up of all the sites/programs that have been affected and which passwords you need to change. As a best practice, you should change your passwords regularly and keep them stored securely.
